Humeau Factory is a French instrumental manufacturing company located in the department of Lot-et-garonne in Nérac (47) close to Agen between Bordeaux and Toulouse, who specialise in wind instruments.

Humeau factory offers, thans to its creator and founder, exceptionnel technical skills combining tradition and modernity.

 

Who is Augustin Humeau ?

From an early age, Augustin Humeau was surrounded by harpsichords in the workshop of his father Philip Humeau. In this time, he absorbed the culture and atmosphere of a master craftsman at work. Augustin specialises in wind instruments and acoustic science. He masters with equal facility all machine tools.

 

Augustin studied modern bassoon at the Conservatoire Superieur in Lyon where he was awarded a first class degree in performing ( with unanimous approval and congratulations of the jury ).

In 2002, he won the 3rd prize in the international Henri Tomasi wind quintet competition. He perfected in baroque bassoon with Marc Vallon and Josep Boras.

He has performed with the greatest European baroque music ensembles / orchestras : Le concert d'Astrée, Les Passions, Stradivaria, La Grande Ecurie, Les Arts Florissants, Les Elèments, Freiburger Orchestra, Orchestre du Capitole de Toulouse, Anima Eterna, Pygmalion,... He participated in many recordings.

For several years he taught modern bassoon and baroque bassoon at the Montauban and Toulouse conservatories.
